When Techies met EF Johnson: A love story
It was a gloomy weekday morning.
It is said that not much was good about the hour-and-a-half drive from Saint Paul to Waseca.
However, two star-crossed, future lovers met on that fateful day, both unknowingly a little anxious.
the meeting
Techies, being the type to not wait around, began pursuing EF Johnson because he was moving a little slow for her.
You see, EF is a bit of an old fashioned guy.
But, it was not hard to see that he was entirely enamored with her.
the courtship
As such, once EF Johnson came around to Techies' advances, the courtship was brief.
After all, who among us can say that we have fended off Techies and her forward ways.
The two seemed so natural together. They were immediately THE couple around town.

Shortly after the courtship begain, EF Johnson asked Techies to move in with him.
She, of course, did not even stop to think about it before squealing with joy.

Once the two were together, there was no stopping what they could accomplish.
What had previously seemed nearly impossible for either independently was now incomprehensibly simple.
Everyone was happy.
For many moons, the two frolicked in the splendor of their love.
Both, however, knew that the bliss they had found together could not last forever.
Techies was one to follow the wind, anywhere it should blow; a nomad.
EF was proud of his heritage and could not leave his village.
After a time, the two knew they would be forced to face a teary good-bye.
(Or more likely, as EF Johnson knew, Techies would leave unannounced in the middle of the night.)
But for the time being, both were living a giddy and fulfilling life of love and happiness, without looking back.
